Visiting Arizona
The Arizona Guide is a rich source of information about the region and provides detailed information about travel requirements, accomodation, transportation, maps, and places to visit while in the Phoenix area.
Transportation
Four Points Sheraton offers free shuttle service to and from the airport, as well as to any location around the university (as long as it is for official business with ASU, which fits our needs fine given that we are doing a conference). When traveling to the airport from the hotel, the shuttle runs every hour, and attendees need to contact the front desk well in advance. When traveling from the airport to the hotel, attendees need to call the airport when they land so they can be scheduled to be picked up.
Climate in Phoenix area
For Phoenix and the surrounding area, temperatures begin to cool down in October. Conference attendees will enjoy cool, comfortable weather with an average high of 88 degrees Fahrenheit. A light jacket is recommended for late night walks and outdoor social outings.
The city of Tempe also provides a free shuttle service to locations around ASU. Please see attached brochure for more information.
